Setting up MFA for Partner Portal

To protect the security of the accounts, it is desirable to use multi factor authentication. Augmenting a sufficiently complex password (something you know) with out-of-band identifier (e.g. something you have).

Actifile implemented MFA using a phone SMS verification system. Each user will get a verification code to their phones whenever they attempt to log in.

To Associate a phone to a user we have two options.

Through the user tool in the portal we can access the user/admin account and set a phone number for them as follows:

Click Edit.

Add the user’s phone number. Use the international dialing code format (e.g. +13219871234).

The second option is to do nothing. The next time the user logs in – he will be asked for his phone number:
